today is transgender day of remembrance. yesterday republican rep. nancy mace of south carolina introduced legislation that would ban transgender women from using facilities on federal property.
today is transgender day of remembrance. two days ago my boyfriend submitted his paper work to legally change his name.
today is transgender day of remembrance. over the past year, 350 transgender people were killed worldwide.
for many, transgender day of remembrance is a day to mourn those we’ve lost, but also celebrate and recognize how far we’ve come. finding the balance between misery and hope. which has been hard lately considering, you know, everything.
i don’t have anything profound to say, or any words of wisdom. i won’t try to preach from my place of privilege. but i want to acknowledge, i want to share, and i want to express my endless solidarity. i cherish my trans siblings, my trans loved ones. i promise to fight like hell alongside you. whatever it takes.
none of us are free until all of us are free.
